Behold the fruit of my labours!

Right, now Christmas is over and presents have been given, I can present photos!

I made my BFF a Slytherin scarf! I came across a pattern a while back, and I promised her one. I always keep my word. :)

Then I had some leftover wool, so I made this:

Which was fun, and convenient for the summer months! I also made this:

Which itches like hell, but it's too cool for me to care. :D

This gave me the knitting bug, so I decided to make a House scarf of my own. Since I like to think I'm a Ravenclaw, I made one in blue and grey.

as you can see, I messed with the pattern a little. I found some photos of the actual props and thought the stripes were a bit smaller. I'm still not convinced this is right, but it's not like I can change them now. I still have the bug, so I'm planning on doing the other two House scarves at least, I'm sure there's someone who wants them. I suppose I could sell them... First I have to learn how to crochet, though. I found a gorgeous Mario blanket and I have an idea for a map of Hyrule. :D I've also discovered you can crochet hyperbolic space, which sounds like an excellent birthday present for my Dad.

Crocheting is fun and so much faster than knitting. (I do both and like that they're both useful in different ways.)

If you're interesting in exact patterns there's a book called Charmed Knits that has all the scarves and so much more.

Oh, those are SWEET scarves! :D Very nice work indeed, fellow Ravenclaw!

Crocheting is quite easy to get the hang of, and you can do so much once you learn even the bare basics. Good luck!
