#01 Ring

Robin scowled at everyone until Beast Boy threw an arm around him and told him they’d definitely catch that smuggling ring tomorrow.

 

#02 Hero

Robin knows he’s not a hero, no matter what the others say; heroes don’t let their team-mates get kidnapped by smugglers.

 

#03 Memory

The memory of Robin (and his team-mates) kept him going; but especially Robin.

 

#04 Box

Beast Boy swore he’d never be put in a box again; some people were bastards.

 

#05 Run

Robin goes running a lot lately; trying to outrun the guilt, I guess.

 

#06 Hurricane

The trouble with Beast Boy was that he was never still; well, not unless you made him be, anyway.

 

#07 Wings

“This is my favourite comic book ever, Death should always have wings!”

 

#08 Cold

Beast Boy felt cold, but Robin didn’t want to let go, strangely enough.

 

#09 Red

“Dude, get your own Robin, this one’s mine!”

 

#10 Drink

Robin found Beast Boy standing outside in the downpour, mouth open to the heavens with a massive grin on his face, and fell in love with him all over again.

 

#11 Midnight

Of course, Jinx and Kid Flash just had to show up when Robin had just shoved Beast Boy up against a wall.

 

#12 Temptation

“Please please please can we play Super Ninja Fury now?”

 

#13 View

Well, when Robin was training there was nothing to do, which was boring, but there was the view, which was fantastic.

 

#14 Music

Beast Boy couldn’t possibly like Aqua; there was a limit to how annoying one person could be after all.

 

#15 Silk

Robin brought Beast Boy some silk pyjamas back from his last trip to the True Master; Beast Boy wore them for a full week afterwards.

 

#17 Promise

“Just – promise me you won’t die, okay?”

 

#18 Dream

Beast Boy woke up screaming about sea monkeys, which was disconcerting, to say the least.

 

#19 Candle

Crap, the power was out; Beast Boy went for the candles, but not before grabbing Robin’s hand and squeezing.

 

#20 Talent

Watching Robin on the trapeze is the highlight of Beast Boy’s day; the boy looked like was flying.

 

#21 Silence

Beast Boy isn’t quiet even when he’s asleep; he murmurs and giggles, and somehow it’s still comforting.

 

#22 Journey

Beast Boy hugs him, but he doesn’t say goodbye; that’s too much for even Robin to ask of him.

 

#23 Fire

After saving a building full of people from the inferno, they fuck roughly in an alley, and it’s better than it’s ever been before.

 

#24 Strength

It takes something serious and harsh to stop Beast Boy from smiling, and that’s a strength too.

 

#25 Mask

Robin takes his mask off for the first time in front of him, showing bright blue eyes and a vulnerability that’s frightening.

 

#26 Ice

It’s the morning after a frost, and Beast Boy’s slipping about in penguin shape, hoping for a smile from him: he grins instead.

 

#27 Fall

Red X is proof of Robin’s mistakes, but to Beast Boy he’s a walking reminder that they almost lost Robin to Slade, and it makes him fight twice as hard.

 

#28 Forgotten

“Dude, how did you forget our anniversary?”

 

#29 Dance

The night is young and the moon is full as Beast Boy, giggling, pulls him onto the dance floor.

 

#30 Body

Sometimes Beast Boy has nightmares that Batman comes after him for lusting after his sidekick; he can’t help that he’s got eyes.

 

#31 Sacred

They watch the stars together; this is almost the only alone time they get, and they cling to it.

 

#32 Farewells

Robin doesn’t go with him when Beast Boy says goodbye to Terra for the last time: it isn’t his place.

 

#33 World

Robin could not believe that Beast Boy was kicking his ass at Risk.

 

#34 Formal

Christ, these tuxes are uncomfortable, but seeing Beast Boy all done up to the nines is worth it.

 

#35 Fever

He tosses and turns in his sleep as Robin puts cool flannels on his head, but he’s grateful when he wakes up and Robin is slumped across the bed, head in arms.

 

#36 Laugh

Beast Boy tells a joke and Robin grins; he’s clearly humouring him, but that’s what you do when you love someone.

 

#37 Lies

Both of them have things they don’t talk about, mostly related to family, but then omission of truth isn’t the same thing as a lie.

 

#38 Forever

It can’t last; they’re too different, but part of him believes that he’ll love Robin forever.

 

#39 Overwhelmed

Oh, this was too much: Robin was watching High School Musical.

 

#40 Whisper

It was very hard to concentrate with Robin whispering in his ear, even it was just strategies for the upcoming fight.

 

#41 Wait

Waiting in line for the movies is not a good idea with Beast Boy in tow: luckily, Robin booked in advance.

 

#42 Talk

Telling the others about their relationship was surprisingly easy; no one was surprised.

 

#43 Search

A child watched his parents being murdered in front of his eyes; they search for the killers, and the rest of the team don’t say anything when Robin and Beast Boy drag a crying murderer out of a building, bleeding from the wolf bite in his leg.

 

#44 Hope

Beast Boy always has hope, Robin just has determination; it’s a good combination.

 

#45 Eclipse

“Oh, wow, it’s just like in Heroes!”

 

#46 Gravity

Robin likes to watch Beast Boy do his morning flight over the bay; it’s good to see someone defy gravity.

 

#47 Highway

Driving down the highway at 100 miles an hour with Beast Boy’s arms around his waist and Robin’s communicator goes off: typical.

 

#48 Unknown

The anonymous jewellery thief strikes again, and Robin’s pulled out all the stops to find them; falling asleep at the computer gives you a bad neck, but the green blanket draped over him is nice.

 

#49 Lock                                                                                       

Under lock and key lay the things they want to forget: a broken mask, a heart-shaped box and the memories they try to hide.

 

#50 Breathe

He throws his head back and breathes in the cold night air; this is where he belongs, with Robin and the team, out on the prowl.
