I don't know how I feel about this. My heart ached for Rory every step of the way, and Amy actually managed to be cool for a little. (Also, Cyberman tentacle!sex, y/y?) Eleven is growing on me, finally. His little badass moment was cool, and I loved him popping out and yelling "Look at me, I'm a target!" I like the idea of the baddies joining forces to put the Doctor away forever (also I might have yelled "it's a trap!" at that point. XD) River noticing a pretty pattern on the grass but not the door kicked in amuses me (bloody archaeologists, they're all like that XD)
The silence at the end was very effective. Now for the bits I didn't like.
River rubs me the wrong way. I really liked her in Silence in the Library, but since that two parter, she's gotten a lot more smug and annoying. And she touches the TARDIS in a bad way. D: There was no tension in Amy dying, since she's clearly gonna be back in the next episode. The Doctor could have fucking warned Rory about Amy, or at least given him a hug. D: Poor love. And the idea of legions of archaeologists never finding a fucking chamber beneath Stonehenge annoys me.
All in all, a decent episode. Am cautiously optimistic about next week.

Date: 2010-06-20 11:22 am (UTC)To be honest I was more consentrated on Rory then Amy and the doctor - oh and van gogh drawing the tardis exploding made me laugh a lot XD
Do have to say I am interested in what part 2 is going to be, and the voice in the tardis is annyoing me, as I know it, but I can't place it.
