I'm in France!

I finally have internet in my room, not that it means much when I'm trying to get moved. This room is a dump. The paint is peeling off the walls. The rest of moving here's been okay. I'm managing with shops and things, and I'm sure once classes start I'll feel much more settled. I've met some of the people from my uni and we've made plans to hang out together.

I'm no longer vegetarian. It sucks, and I hate it, but it's not really feasible in a country like this, where food is so expensive and vegetarianism isn't really done. Still not eating much meat though, it's gross.

MSN and Skype are banned in halls. I'm working on it. Don't worry guys, I'm not going to vanish.

I miss home.

An uncivillised one, clearly. :) If I have to get a dongle then I'll do it, I can't go without talking to everyone, and it's too dear to ring people. But I shall prevail!

Aw, dude, that sucks. :( Are you able to cook for yourself in halls? Hopefully that way you can avoid it as much possible.

Yeah, but it's one kitchen between thirty, and there's not much time for everyone to get stuff done. I plan on doing that though.

About the vegetarianism thing, Cookie's having trouble with that too. She has a lidl (cheap shop that doesn't sell any brands) by her and she's pretty much substituted quorn or tofu for beans and lentils and cooking a lot. She's actually found tofu in a nation-wide shop, though, so I will ask for you!

She has a Lidl? Lucky woman. I found a Netto the other day, need to scope it out, even if it's ages away. And thank you, my dear, you're lovely. :)

How is Cookie doing, by the way? Settling in well?

She's doing well. She's with a host family in a three-storey place and she's getting a bank account this weekend. S'all good! ;)

Um, try checking out all the little food shops, maybe you'll find one that's vegetarian-friendly!

I shall do that. :) I know there's at least one veggie restaurant here, but it's really expensive.
