Okay, I've just got back in from the flight, and will update you on my lovely holiday!

I actually didn't spend that much time with my family. I stayed at a mates' on both Monday and Wednesday (different mates) so that was the better part of four days gone. I had loads of fun with them though. It's amazing how much fun you can have with people you genuinely like and get on with. :) And my BFF brought me some gifts from Japan! I have lightsaber chopsticks. Best. Friend. Ever.

Friday was mostly running around getting haircuts and winter clothes to take back, and it was wonderful. Seriously, shopping with your mother is a treat I never thought I'd miss. We put up the Halloween decorations too, which always makes me feel all fuzzy. :) The kids tried to steal my Pokémon collection, little swines. :D They found it in the loft and tried to make me give them it. Sadly, it is mine. They already have my Batman toys, I'm keeping the Pokémon!

Today has just been chilling out and making sure I have everything. We had a gorgeous Sunday dinner (yes, a day early) and then went to the airport. Security was really high because they found a bomb on one of the cargo planes yesterday. I wish they'd shut the airport down, I could have done with a few more days at home.

In conclusion, I have some lovely new jumpers, newly short and purple hair, and some really cool chopsticks. When's it Christmas again?

Awww, it sounds like you had a really good vacation home! Plus, lightsaber chopsticks sounds like the best present ever. Holiday shopping is one of the fuzziest things as well, though for me it's with my mom at Christmas ^_^. Regardless, I'm really glad you got to go home and see and hang out with the people you love.

Though...uh...a bomb? O_O

They really are! Kinda difficult to eat with, though. All my shopping is going to be online this year, sadly. *sighs* Ah well, I'm sure they'll have a Christmas market here too.

Yeah, from the Yemen. Apparently they were sent by a woman with Al-Qaida links to some synagogue in America. The whole airport shut down. At least there wasn't a dude on fire this time.

Oooh! I'm happy you had such a lovely time! Also lightsaber chopsticks sound like the best thing ever. :D

Security was really high because they found a bomb on one of the cargo planes yesterday.

*hugs back* Fortunately (or unfortunately) I was a day late for the evacuation. :)
