After the battle with Linkara, he had been rebuilt. Linksano had done an excellent job for a human, and the backup of his CPU remained uncorrupted. All that remained was his hand.

His sensors had determined that the hand was still functional, but it was currently located within Linkara’s room. It was foolhardy to risk their plan on something that could so easily be replaced. Better to have Linksano build a new one.

But it was a part of him. And some circuit deep inside of him seethed at the prospect of Linkara controlling any part of him. Owning him.

Hope this is not too bad. :)

Nash looked around. They were in the main reception of an old hotel; the chandelier was still hanging from the ceiling and the sofas in the waiting area were there, though they’d clearly been used to build some kind of fort. My Little Ponies were scattered around the entrance. He was looking if anyone was inside when someone squirted him with a super soaker.

“Hey!”

“Dude, I totally got him! Righteous!” came from behind a column. Then he heard gunshots from somewhere above them.

“What the fuck?” he asked Critic, who shrugged.

“Welcome to Channel Awesome.”

He was in the queue for the toilets at the festival when he saw her for the first time. Romantic, he knows. She was walking past with a friend, heading to the food tent. It was her hair that caught his eye. After a brief battle with the portajohn he considered heading after them, but decided against it. He’d never find them again in the crowd, anyway.

Two days later he was packing up his tent when he looked over at the tent behind him and saw her closing her backpack, and she looked up and smiled. He smiled back.

Paw was woken by the telephone ringing in the living room. He groaned and dragged himself out of bed, hitting the bedside cabinet on the way out. As he dragged a hand through his hair, he paused. Something felt different. He went in the bathroom to check the mirror.

So, apparently he was a woman now. Huh. He hadn’t actually changed that much. His hair was the same, his stubble had gone, but nothing big had really changed. He looked down. Well, except for those.

The phone was still ringing. He went to answer it. “Insano?”

“It’ll wear off soon.”

Nella bounced into the reception and dumped the duvet and sheets on the floor before carefully placing her My Little Ponies on the floor. She stripped the cushions off the couch and stood them close to the sides, forming a wall between her and the rest of the world. She dragged the duvet inside and draped the sheet over them, then dived over the front desk to steal one of 90’s Kid’s water pistols.

She dragged it back to the pillow fort, grinning, then got into position, aiming at the door opposite. Her ponies needed meat, and she was ready.

The only way to get to Hogwarts was to demonstrate magic. Film Brain had his work cut out for him. It was a matter of pride.

Magic often showed itself when the person in question felt threatened or in danger. So, he threw himself off Brighton pier. All that resulted in was a ruined MP3 player and a very wet reviewer. Jumping into the lion enclosure at the zoo and taunting hoodies was just as useless. He was about ready to give up.

Re-watching a certain online musical gave him a better idea. Now, where could he find a spaceship?

Todd sat in the corner, clutching his drink and watching the others. Spoony and Scarlett were getting down with Linkara and Iron Liz on the dance floor. A circle of observers were gaping as the four of them seemed to be having some kind of fanservice contest. Critic and the AVGN had been earlier, but had stumbled off in the direction of the toilets a while ago.

Roses stopped dancing with Paw, who disappeared off to the DJ’s booth, to pull him up with them. He moved awkwardly for a while, until Tik Tok came on and Paw reappeared, grinning.

Chick stood in the centre of her empty apartment, staring blankly at the door that Nella had just stormed out of. Her knuckles were bleeding from contact with Nella’s cheek and her eye was bruising from Nella retaliating. Nella’s presence was everywhere in the room, from the bright pink walls to the Ponies on the floor to the crowbar leaning against the wall. The glass she’d thrown at Chick.

She was sick of the names and the groping and the arguments. She’d been putting up with Nella’s shit for months. So why did she suddenly want her to come back?
